Website Design

MP Design Studio is a full-service small-business website, branding, and marketing studio based in Downtown Edmonton. We design practical websites for small teams and local businesses, from one-page brochure sites to full business websites. Our website work is intended to help visitors understand what you do and take a clear next step, such as booking, calling, submitting an inquiry, or paying.

What we build

Our Website Build service focuses on clear information architecture, conversion-oriented page flows, mobile usability, performance, and maintainable systems. We can support projects such as:

  • One-page brochure websites for service businesses
  • Four- to six-page business websites
  • Service-intent pages for specific customer needs
  • Booking, contact, estimate, and lead-capture forms
  • Conditional form questions and lightweight lead-routing workflows
  • Websites that connect form data to common CRM or spreadsheet workflows
  • Website updates and incremental improvements when a full rebuild is not necessary
  • Basic content-editing workflows that your team can manage after launch

We plan the structure around your goals, audience, offer, and next action. We keep each page focused on a useful purpose: helping visitors learn, build trust, contact you, or convert.

Custom website build process

We plan first, design second, and ship in short, reviewable cycles.

1. Discovery and alignment

We begin with intake, goal and voice alignment, ownership mapping, and scope definition. We clarify what the website needs to accomplish, who needs to use it, what assets already exist, and what needs to be created or sourced. We also establish a practical timeline and asset checklist before design begins.

2. Structure and content flow

We organize the site around customer intent rather than simply arranging information by internal department. This may include service pages, emergency or urgent-service routes, location proof, trust information, booking prompts, and clear paths for different types of visitors. For larger projects, we create a conversion-focused content architecture before visual implementation.

3. Design and implementation

We align the website with the existing brand or create a practical visual direction where brand materials are incomplete. We then build the agreed page experience, forms, calls to action, and supporting workflows. Our technical work includes Astro and Cloudflare development, performance optimization, and analytics integration where the project requires it.

4. Review, testing, and iteration

We work in short cycles and review progress together. Changes remain practical and reversible during the build. Testing can include form behavior, page speed, accessibility, content clarity, and mobile experience. A documented Greenline Plumbing project included field testing and quality assurance on older devices before a soft launch and conversion-tuning period.

5. Launch, training, and support

At launch, we provide documentation and process handoffs so your team can continue routine website work. We also provide simple content-editing workflows and short video walkthroughs. Every project includes a tailored timeline and milestone plan. After launch, our standard support window is 60 days, with optional monthly support for updates, optimization, campaigns, and reporting.

Template and custom-build options

We publish custom website-build packages and practical one-page through full-site scopes, but we do not currently publish a separate catalog of templates or template-specific starting prices. If you prefer a template-based approach for speed or budget control, ask us to confirm which templates, platforms, editing tools, and customization limits are available for your project.

We can also update an existing website without rebuilding everything. Incremental upgrades may be appropriate when you want to improve speed, navigation, forms, or mobile performance while minimizing disruption to day-to-day operations.

User experience design principles

Our UX approach centers on making the next step obvious and reducing friction for visitors and staff.

  • One clear action per page: We organize pages around a primary purpose, such as learning about a service, calling, booking, or requesting an estimate.
  • Customer-intent paths: We separate routes for different needs instead of forcing every visitor through the same generic page.
  • Plain-language navigation: Service descriptions, emergency instructions, booking details, and form questions should be easy to scan and understand.
  • Mobile-first decision-making: We design for visitors using phones, especially when they need to call, request help, find a location, or submit a quick inquiry.
  • Accessible reading and interaction: We can improve contrast, reading flow, form usability, and other accessibility considerations as part of the website work.
  • Useful trust signals: Where relevant, we place location proof, credentials, process information, and clear expectations near decision points.
  • Maintainable operations: We document workflows so your team can update pages, manage inquiries, and continue using the site after launch.

Responsive design examples

Responsive design is included in the Starter package as a single responsive website build. Our service positioning also prioritizes mobile users and fast-loading pages.

For Greenline Plumbing, we created one-click call actions for three emergency paths, built service-intent pages for leaks, blockages, and commercial calls, optimized forms for rapid capture, and added a mobile performance cleanup and accessibility pass. The project also included testing on older devices before launch. The documented results included a 78% increase in mobile lead clicks and a 54% improvement in emergency call-to-quote conversions.

For other service and healthcare projects, we have used mobile-oriented entry routes, clearer reading flows, simplified treatment or service pages, and booking or callback prompts at multiple points in the visitor journey.

Website packages and starting prices

Prices are published as starting points. Each project receives a tailored timeline, milestone plan, and optional add-ons. Some packages combine website work with broader marketing or operational support.

Starting a project

When you contact us, share your goals, preferred timeline, priorities, existing website or assets, and the type of website support you need. If you have a target launch date or a specific team size, include those details so we can recommend a practical scope and next step. We will use a discovery conversation to clarify the project, map milestones, and prepare a tailored proposal.
